I was hoping that I'd be the first one to give you a comparison of the OLPC's XO Laptop and the Asus EeePC but since I was not able to get hold of an XO laptop, LaptopMag.com beat me to the punch. :(

Whilst I will not spoil the surprise when you jump to the comparison, I will give you my two cents worth. First, the XO Laptop is intended for children and the EeePC is not particularly aimed at children *only* (case in point, the VGA port is ideal for "power" users who need to connect the Eee PC to a bigger display or projector for presentation). Second, the XO Laptop's interface is a radical departure from what mainstream Linux users are familiar with - the Easy UI is both a joy and a pain but the Full Desktop brings you home. :) Lastly, the Eee PC is more expensive. :P
Given a chance, which one will you buy?
