ATI drivers released

ATI drivers released
I wrote about NVidia's support for Linux a few weeks ago and hoped that ATI will follow suit. Guess what? They just released a new Linux driver. Michael Larabol just wrote a short review of the new driver.

Today's ATI fglrx 8.32.5 driver comes with very few end-user changes, but it brings a great deal of bug fixing and more "under the hood" changes to excite us for next year. The most prominent addition in this release is support for X.Org 7.2 and the Radeon X1950 family.

With the two graphics giants supporting Linux natively by providing drivers for their GPUs, it will not be long until the other peripherallinks manufacturers will wake up and smell the coffee. Linux is here to stay and either you ignore it (which is not really a good idea) or join the revolution!
