BackerUpper, yet another TimeMachine clone for Linux

BackerUpper, yet another TimeMachine clone for Linux
I have featured back-up utilities that try to mimic the ease of use of the Mac's Time Machine. This time, I am giving you yet another Time Machine clone called BackerUpper, "a simple program for backing up selected directories over a local network. Its main intended purpose is backing up a user's personal data."

For a step-by-step instruction on how to install, configure and use BackerUpper, check out HowToForge's tutorial.

Whilst BackerUpper may functionally be the same as Mac OS X's Time Machine, the user experience is very much different. With Compiz and other cool eye-candy fast creeping into standard Linux distributions, I cannot wait to see a backup tool that rivals the user experience provided by Time Machine.

So what are you doing? Start backing up your data now! :P
