Call for Help: Linux support for new iPods
Filed in archive Devices on September 15, 2007
Apple released an entire suite of new iPods after it released the iPhone, from the smallest Shuffle to the Classic and adding a new model, the iPod Touch.
Whilst everything seems to be ok on the entertainment front, it does not look good for Linux users. Not only is there the lack of an iTunes software for Linux but Apple decided to revamp the way the iPods work - making the linux apps such as gtkPod not to function correctly.

Here's an initial attempt at decoding the new Apple iPods. If you are one of those who own an iPod or who wants to get the new ones (specially the Touch), then join in and help make apps for Linux work again.
