I admit that I am pretty much spoiled by Apple's applications but this just shows how much Linux developers can learn from commercial applications. :) Anyway, today's Mac application is called iDVD, that little DVD-authoring tool that makes it really easy to make DVDs for friends and family.
With the holiday season fast approaching, one of the most affordable and yet thoughtful gifts to give to your family, specially to the kids' grandparents, is a DVD containing photo slideshows and video clips taken during the year. In my family, the wife loves doing this but on her iMac. If you have Linux, you will not have iDVD BUT there similar applications available for download. One such app is the ManDVD.

You may also what to check Tombuntu's experience in using ManDVD and learn a thing or two. :) For me, I'll stick with leaving that expertise to the wife. :P
