Flickr uploaders for Linux

Flickr uploaders for Linux

Everyone must have heard of Flickr at least once. If you haven't, which rock were you living under? :) Anyway, the main photo upload tool used for Flickr is its browser-based photo uploader. Whilst it proves to be functional, there are some features that can be simplified so a desktop tool is also provided. Unfortunately, Flickr does not have a Linux photo uploader. So what tools are available to be able to upload photos from your linux desktop?

1. Flock. This a full web browser but its Flickr-integrated photo uploader simply works! However, if you already have your preferred browser, having another browser just for uploading may not make any sense.

2. jUploadr. A Java-based photo uploader that supports Flickr and Zooomr. As promised by Java technology, it runs on any platform with a Java SE virtual machine.

3. kFlickr. a Linux-only photo uploader for KDE.

So there you have 'em – tools to make it easier for you to upload photos, specially in batches. Personally, I use jUploadr since I use Flickr and Zooomr as my photo hosting sites. How about you?
