How to install applications in Ubuntu
The challenge is finding the right recipe for that perfect desktop. Adding and removing applications to Linux used to be difficult, i.e., you have to scour the internet to find the proper package, download and then install it. More often than not, the package is in source code format instead of pre-compiled binaries. Today, it is easy to add and remove applications. Here's a screencast on how you can do it yourself.
