ZFS is the advanced file system created by Sun Microsystems, Inc. and included in OpenSolaris. This same file system is now being integrated into Mac OS X 10.6 by Apple. Unfortunately, Linux has yet to include it in the main trunk.

Should you want to use ZFS on Linux, you can do this via FUSE. Linux.com has the instructions on how to do this.

If you do not know what ZFS can do, then you are missing a lot. I recommend that you check it out, specially if you value your data. :)
