Overall, this is a great upgrade for existing Motorola users, or for users who want a sleek-looking phone. Its Industrial Design makes justice to carry the name "RAZR", and the software is a step-up from the previous RAZR offerings. However, while this is one big step for Motorola as they announced that 60% of their phones will be Linux-based in the future, they still need to make more steps (and quickly) to properly compete with Nokia and the other smartphone players in that market.
My take on this? Well, it does not support 3G or HSDPA/HSUPA, has limited storage (2GB maximum) & small screen and has a clam-shell form-factor. My Nokia E61 still is a bit better than this one (except for the storage, of course) but I am looking forward to other Linux-based mobile phones in the future. That is, if Apple decides to ignore third-party applications on their iPhone.

This is just another big achievement for linux. Hopefully it will lead to more mobile OS's not just being built with linux, but also open source. I'm counting on Google for that, though there is already the openmoko...
