A good resource for migrants can be found at the Linux Alternative Project, a site that lists popular Windows applications with their Linux alternatives.

If you are looking for open source software that runs on Windows, then you can go to OpenDisc instead. Again, why run FOSS on Windows? Run 'em on Linux directly!
