Linux going mainstream
Filed in archive News on February 20, 2007
The recent news about Dell selling computers with pre-installed Linux might have come as a surprise but it joins the likes of IBM and HP/Compaq in doing so. Does it mean that Linux is going mainstream? You bet! Even SME's are joining in. I saw this re-seller named Shafetech selling computers with Ubuntu-Linux pre-installed (see screenshot of part of its website). Now if that does not give you more market share, then perhaps this will.
So tell me, did Linux come pre-installed in your computer? :)
