Linux in Healthcare
Filed in archive News on March 1, 2007

McKesson has joined with Red Hat (NYSE:RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, to introduce the Red Hat Enterprise Healthcare Platform, a cost-effective open source information technology (IT) solution with services designed to meet the mission-critical demands of healthcare.
Linux in mission-critical systems is not really new. Having Linux in healthcare will, hopefully, reduce the cost of delivering healthcare to the masses.
As a bonus, the system runs on Java, which I also love. :)
