Linux-based Digital Video Recorder
Whoa! I was surprised to find out that this particular Linux-based digital video recorder is from my home country, the Philippines. The company, called Neugent, created a digital video capture card and packaged it as a surveillancelinks/security dvr system.

The LX8000-series DVRs run a Linux-based OS of an unspecified nature. The OS is claimed to offer an easy-to-use interface, along with remote management, live views, recording and playback functions, and support for JPEG and MPEG4 streaming.

Whilst the product looks really promising, it would have been better if they release the video capture cards as a separate PC add-on card, what do you think?
