Last December 15, 2006, being one of the LPI Certification Exam proctors, I conducted a LPI Level 1 certification exam for Linux trainers from Southeast Asia.

There were 27 examinees who endured 180 minutes to answer around 150 questions after spending 2 weeks of extensive linux traininglinks of Trainers at the Diliman Interactive Learning Center of the University of the Philippines. This is the second LPI certification held in the Philippines for 2006. It is projected that exams will be conducted every quarter for 2007.

The training and certification was sponsored by the International Open Source Network (IOSN) of the United Nations Development Programme - Asia Pacific Development Information Programme (UNDP-APDIP) and Inwent of Germany in cooperation with the University of the Philippines.
