We all hate waiting for systems to boot. I have grown acustom to either keeping my systems on 24x7 (not very green) or making my pot of tea AFTER I turn on my systems. There are some simple things though that you can do to help the boot process. These are semi-intuitive and you've probably thought of most of them yourselves.
