Musical scores on your desktop
I remember one of the University of the Philippines College of Music professor scanning his musical scores and saving them as images instead of a format that will allow him to edit and create more master pieces. I thought of an editor for musical scores without knowing that there are tons available for free and what is even better, runs on Linux! :) Linux.com has a list of these tools available. However, what is missing is the OpenOffice plug-in named OOoLilypond.

So to the musically inclined (very much unlike me, musically challenged), why not try these tools and give us feedback as to which ones you prefer the most?
