My take on the Foleo Mobile Companion
Filed in archive Devices on May 30, 2007
I was expecting a Linux-based palm treo with HSDPA, BT and WiFi support but apparently, they have something different in mind. The Foleo, at first glance, may be the perfect companion to your Treo smartphone. However, if you are like me, who carries a smartphone (Nokia E61) and a notebook, adding the bulky Foleo is not ideal.
Palm may have had a good idea here but they should have added more punch by using a more powerful processor and more storage (32GB of solid-state storage would do wonders). At least get a processor that is powerful enough to run YouTube videos. :)
Another thing, I wonder how much third-party Linux applications can I add to this critter. Does it run Java ME as well?
