Now comes the Google Phone
After much hype over the new Google mobile phone, Google announced a platform instead of an actual device. The platform, code-named Android, will be released under the Open Handset Alliance. As rumoured, this platform is Linux-based - making it open for developers.

It will be an interesting 2008 for consumers as we see Android-based mobile phones along with the next generation iPhones and Nokia's new touch-screen technology.
