Not too long ago, I featured two entries, "Linux Video Editing" and "State of Video Editing", on video editing in Linux. Today, I feature another one that I just recently discovered, Open Movie Editor, a Linux-only basic movie editor.
Whilst it has yet to achieve full version 1.0 release, it shows a lot of promise. It even comes with free online tutorials, in English, French and Spanish.
What is new to this version? We have (1) Zoom buttons in timeline; (2) Preview in separate window; (3) Images in node graphs; and (4) Lift, gamma, gain 3-way color tool.
This tool is perfect for students on a budget. :)
