OpenFiler
Not too long ago, I wrote about FreeNAS, a FreeBSDlinks-based network-attached storage device. Today, I found a similar utility but is based on Linux.

Openfiler is a powerful, intuitive browser-based network storage software distribution. Openfiler delivers file-based Network Attached Storage and block-based Storage Area Networking in a single framework.

It supports different protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, HTTP/WebDAV and FTP for files; NIS, LDAP, Active Directory and Hesiod for directories; and Kerberos 5 for authentication.

Pretty neat for a FreeNAS alternative. :)
