OpenMOKO: Ready for orders
Filed in archive Devices on February 17, 2007
Openmoko, "the World's First Integrated Open Source Mobile Communications Platform", will soon be ready to be deployed commercially. Linuxdevices (thanks for the image!) reports that FIC, the manufacturer of the OpenMoko-based Neo1973 phone, announced an on-sale date for its Neo1973 that starts on March 11.
At USD350, it sure is an expensive phone but just like the iPhone, I hope that this one gets upgraded to support HSDPA.
I am wondering if my editors here can get me one of the free phones for review. *hint*hint*
