Optimizing Hardy Heron

We all want our systems to be quick and responsive and with every new distribution comes new applications and new tools. So, with the new Ubuntu version, 8.04, a new set of tweaks are necessary to speed it up.

Here's a list of tips from Softpedia.com. I particularly find the "System Tweaks" to be particularly useful.

Why don't you try 'em out and see for yourself? Will do this on a spare Linux box later.
