Pod catching the easy way
I am not sure how many of our readers are listening to podcasts (perhaps this is a good time to see if creating a Hackitlinux podcast is a good idea) but I do listen to a couple of technology-related ones.

My pod catcher of choice is iTunes since it works perfectly on my Mac. On Linux, however, there are a couple of options to choose from, e.g. iPodder and Podget. Whilst both are easy to use, there is nothing easier than a pod catcher that runs from the CLI.

BashPodder
is a command-line pod catching script that requires bash, wget and sed to collect your podcasts. In addition to its simplicity, the script is portable across platforms where bash is available, e.g. BSD, AIX, Mac OS X, Solaris and more.

For the uber-geeks out there, this is, IMHO, the geekiest pod catcher available!
