Review of Project Indiana

Filed in archive Solaris by Rom Feria on November 3, 2007

I wrote about what the new Solaris looks like a few weeks ago and a new Developer Preview is now available. Whilst I have yet to download this new version, Phoronix now has a review of this new release.

Review of Project Indiana

After using the Project Indiana / OpenSolaris Developer Preview for the past couple of hours, we are already confident in saying that this is the most consumer-friendly Solaris-based distribution to date (even more so than Nexenta OS or BeleniX).

I agree with the reviewer here. This is an even more impressive update compared the one I had. I cannot wait to get the latest preview. :)
