Specto: Another Growl-like tool for Linux

Specto: Another Growl-like tool for Linux

Back in February, I wrote about a simple hack on how to get a notification system like Mac OS X's Growl. Today, I feature Specto, "a desktop application that will watch configurable events (such as website updates, emails, file and folder changes, system processes, etc) and then trigger notifications."

This is a very useful tool get notifications from your Gmail account or your favorite RSS feed, when it gets updated. How cool is that?
