In a recent ArsTechnica report, Wikimedia Foundation revealed that it is currently in the process of migrating their servers to Ubuntu. This news stresses the maturity of the Linux distribution as a viable solution for enterprise-grade computing. So, the next time to fire up a Wikipedia search, the transaction will be served by servers running on Ubuntu.
Ubuntu is one of the popular Linux distribution today with several Linux distribution spawning off of it, e.g., GOS, LinuxMint, etc. Personally, I use Ubuntu server edition on my VPS running several blogs and a portal.
How about you – are you an Ubuntu fan?
