Ubuntu-based Freespire now in alpha
Freespire, the community-based version of commercial Linux distribution, Linspire, just released the alpha 1U version of Freespire 2.0. Freespire 2.0 is based on Ubuntu and comes with the 2.6.20 kernel and KDE 3.5.6 desktop environmentlinks.

Remember that this is an alpha-release (see release notes) - not for the fainthearted.
