Updating your distribution without net access

One Manila Bulletin reader sent me a question oin how to update his stand-alone Linux box. My suggestion was to use AptOnCD but it requires that you have another Linux box that is connected to the internet. Today I found another solution from PlanetOSS. Timely since we have been experiencing slow internet connections lately. So, do you have other solutions? Please do share.
