Upgrading Mobo BIOS
How many times have you encountered the situation where you need to upgrade a device's firmware, may it be a mobile phone, PDA or even your Motherboardlinks, and there is no Linux utility available? Well, I was in a similar situation a couple of weeks ago and had no choice but to install Windows on a virtual machine (don't worry, I have since deleted it - waste of space!). How do you do it without virtualization?

Linux.inet.hr provides a tutorial on how to upgrade your motherboard's BIOS using Linux. Warning, though - flashing your motherboard may render it into a huge door-stopper.
