What's new with Gnome 2.2? Part 4

Filed in archive Utilities by Rom Feria on September 25, 2007

To conclude our First Look of the new Gnome 2.2 features, I'd like to feature the new screen-saver notes feature.

Visitors can leave notes for you even if your screen-saver automatically locks your screen. This takes care of the annoying Post-It notes on your monitor (which is even more annoying when they stick it on your notebook LCD!). I wonder if there is a way to limit it to prevent office prankslinks by flooding your screen with hundreds of notes. How about interfacing with your webcam so that visitors can leave a short video or audio message instead? Now THAT would be cool!

So there you have it - some of the interesting new features that come with Gnome 2.2 There are more improvements and new features to explore so I leave it to you to check out. :)

Now when will Ubuntu add it to their official repository. Can't wait to do a system update.
