With an emerging awareness of buying Linux based operating system, Ubuntu may become a popular Linux-based distro. There are a couple of things which can be still improved about it.

If you like Ubuntu 11.04, but not the Unity desktop, then you will not have to wait longer for the next release Linux Mint 11.
If you like Debian, you may use recently released Debian 6.0.

If you require something more advanced, along with Ubuntu, you can make use of SimplyMEPIS.
Open your minds and move towards the Debian Family!
